TOWN OF WESTBROOK

NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

The legal voters of the Town of Westbrook, Connecticut and all others qualified to vote in meetings of said Town are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting, will be held in the Multi Purpose Room of the Teresa Mulvey Municipal Center, 866 Boston Post Road on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. to act on the following matters:

1.         Resolved: That the sum of $39,900.00 be appropriated and transferred from Account #010-9-0-0910, Unappropriated Fund Balance to Special Account #101-1210-100-0084, Daisy Ingraham Roof, for the purpose of paying architectural and engineering services to Kaestle Boos Associates for the replacement of the Daisy Ingraham Roof, as recommended by the Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance.            

2.         Resolved: That the sum of $99,000.00 be appropriated and transferred from Account #010-9-0-0910, Unappropriated Fund Balance to New Special Account #101-1210-100-0090, Daisy Ingraham Fire Alarm System, for the purpose of installing a new Fire Alarm System in the Daisy Ingraham School, as recommended by the Board of Education, Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance.

3.         Resolved: That the sum of $299,000.00 be appropriated and transferred from Account #010-9-0-0910, Unappropriated Fund Balance to New Special Account #101-1210-100-0091, Security improvements for Westbrook Schools, for security improvements in the Westbrook Schools, as recommended by the Board of Education, Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance.

4.         Resolved:  That the sum of $1,842.03 be appropriated and transferred from Account #010-9-0-0910, Unappropriated Fund Balance to 2006/2007 Fiscal Year Budget Account #010-0410-049-0234, Zoning, Professional Services, for the purpose of covering over-expenditures in the account, as recommended by the Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that on the 14^th day of December 2007, I posted a written copy of the attached warning and notice of a Special Town Meeting upon all the signposts of the Town of Westbrook and all other places designated by the Town.

            I FURTHER CERTIFY that on the 14th day of December 2007, I caused the attached warning and notice of a Special Town Meeting of the Town of Westbrook with Joan S. Angelini, its Town Clerk.

            I FURTHER CERTIFY that on 14^th day of December 2007, I caused a copy of said warning and notice to be published in the Hartford Courant, a newspaper having circulation within the Town of Westbrook.

            I FURTHER CERTIFY that all of the above acts were done by me at least five days before the holding of said meeting on Thursday, December 20, 2007.
