Public Health Educator and Environmental Health Inspector

 

The Town of Westbrook has an opening for a Part-Time (18 hours) Public Health Educator and Environmental Health Inspector.

 

Minimum required qualifications are Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education, Public Health, Nursing or other health related field. A minimum of one year experience in a public health position. Completion of Food Sanitation Course and eligible for field standardization from the CT DPH Food Protection Program.  Preferred: CT DPH Certified Food Inspector, Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)

 

Additional qualifying graduate coursework in health education or other health related field may be substituted for the required one year experience.

 

Hourly Range: $22.00 - $25.00

Full-time Staff Nurse

 

 

The Westbrook Visiting Nurses & Public Health Department has an opening for a full-time Staff Nurse.

 

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Baccalaureate Degree in nursing with no previous public health experience – performs general public health nursing and related community activities under the direction of qualified supervision,

 

OR

 

Registered Nurse – A graduate of an accredited school of nursing, licensed in the State of Connecticut, and must have either:  One-year experience in homecare or at least one-year in a setting with medical/surgical experience.
