The Connecticut Department of Agriculture provides low income seniors with checks that can be exchanged for eligible foods at farmers’ markets. 

Eligibility Guidelines: The individual is 60 years of age or older, OR is a disabled individual under the age of 60 living in housing facilities occupied primarily by older individuals where congregate nutrition services are provided. The 2022 (gross) income limits for a one and two person households are : Single person = $25,142 annually or $2,096 monthly or  Two People  = $33,874 annually or $2,823 monthly. The individual has gone through proper means testing to support income eligibility. Participants not identified by proper means testing shall not be given SFMNP checks.

Eligible Products: You may purchase CT grown fruits, vegetables, fresh cut herbs and honey.
